New patients are always welcome in our practice. While most of our patients are referred by their primary care physician or through an emergency room visit, you can make an appointment directly if you believe you have a need for cardiology service. Please contact your health insurance carrier to determine if you need a referral from a primary care physician.

Missed Appointments

Because we have set aside a time especially for your visit, we ask that you contact us as soon as you know that you will miss an appointment. This is to avoid being assessed a cancellation or no-show fee. To read about our No-Show Policy, click here.

For new appointments, you are asked to check in 30 minutes before your appointment. For follow up visits, please arrive 15 minutes before your visit.

Insurance & Payment

Cardiovascular Associates of Charlottesville accepts most major insurance plans, and we will file your insurance claims for you. Please bring your insurance card(s) with you to your appointments. It is your responsibility to notify us if your insurance coverage changes.

Patient's Financial Responsibility - Patients are financially responsible for all charges not paid by insurance. Your co-pay is expected at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

Returned Checks - There will be a fee of $25.00 charged by this office for each check returned to us or any charge card transaction reversed by your bank.
