You have just been to see your Primary Care Physician (PCP or Family Doctor). He ran some laboratory tests and checked your blood pressure. He may have even given you an ECG or Electrocardiogram. After careful consideration, he suggests you have an appointment with one of the Cardiologists at Cardiovascular Associates of Charlottesville. Many times, the appointment is a precaution so a specialist can evaluate some of the PCP’s tests results and run some additional tests of their own. Typically, Cardiologists would prefer to see a patient who may be having some mild symptoms of cardiovascular abnormalities because they can prescribe medications and lifestyle improvements to prevent a more serious illness. 

The Cardiology services offered at Cardiovascular Associates of Charlottesville combine the expertise of eight Board Certified Cardiologists, experienced and compassionate staff with state of the art testing capabilities to provide patient-centered care. 

Services available through our practice include all aspects of outpatient consultative services and testing using echocardiography, stress testing and nuclear cardiology. 

Our professional staff provides outpatient services that include cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiology services and electrophysiology, as well as inpatient care through our affiliation with Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville. 

Our eight physicians are Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology.
